Energy Analysis Assistance
Seattle City Light offers to reimburse the customer for the cost of hiring an independent energy consultant to analyze a specific list of energy conservation measures.  This funding is available for analysis of energy conservation measures not covered by Seattle City Light’s simple calculation methods.  To become eligible, the customer must sign a contract with Seattle City Light before the analysis is performed.  Contact Seattle City Light, 206-684-3254 for more information.

Energy Audits of Existing Buildings:  “Facility Assessments”
If you are interested in finding out how you might benefit from energy conservation in your facility, Seattle City Light's energy management professionals offer to visit your facility and put together a list of recommendations for ways to save electricity in large and medium-size commercial and industrial customer facilities.  The visit includes reviewing any existing mechanical and electrical drawings, walking the site, interviewing facility operators for their thoughts and ideas, and in some cases monitoring equipment operation for in-depth investigation of specific equipment.  The Seattle City Light report will offer estimates of annual savings and estimates of available Seattle City Light installation funding, to help decide how much budget to set aside in the current and upcoming budget cycles for capital improvements.

Energy Efficiency Financial Incentives for Installation of New Equipment
Seattle City Light offers funding for customers to install energy efficient equipment at their facilities that will provide electrical energy savings..  The amount of money offered on each project is based on estimated kwh per year savings.  Most technologies, even some of the most innovative, are eligible.  Contact Seattle City Light for an energy audit of your facility, or whenever you are replacing equipment.

An upgrade to a higher efficiency level is least expensive at the time of replacement, consider seeking Seattle City Light funding at those times to reduce capital and operating costs.

On new construction projects, contact Seattle City Light early in the design to receive funding estimates for moving beyond the Seattle Energy Code and financial help toward LEED™ Energy and Atmosphere points.  Non-LEED™ projects are also eligible.
