Description of Services
Food Lifeline accepts food donations from manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers. Additionally, their Seattle's Table program accepts prepared and perishable food from restaurants, hotels, hospitals, delis, caterers and cafeterias. Food Lifeline picks up between 6:30 AM and 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday in 30-foot refrigerated trucks or a 48-foot refrigerated tractor-trailer. Seattle's Table picks up between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday in two refrigerated vans. Food Lifeline also accepts household products, personal hygiene products, cleaning products, paper products (i.e. paper towels, toilet paper, etc.), formula, diapers, pet food and more. Food Lifeline will also take packing boxes and other non-food items that may be of use in warehousing and distributing food. Large donations are distributed via a network of 269 neighborhood food banks and meal programs.
